Q. HOW NEW IS YOUR EQUIPMENT?
A. All of our Equipment is purchased new by Happy Little Traveler. We promptly send in all warranties so we can be notified of any recalls or safety issues. In addition we track all recalls on the consumer reports website. Your child’s safety is our primary concern. We can provide you with any brand or model information.
Q. HOW IS YOUR EQUIPMENT CLEANED?
A. We follow all WA State Department of Health regulations with regards to policies on cleaning solutions and procedures for infant and children toys, furniture and cloth items. We use non-toxic cleaning products to maintain clean, hygienic, yet health conscious equipment for your baby. Crib sheets and all cloth material are laundered in hot water with fragrance free detergents. All products are cleaned after each use. Equipment must be returned in same clean condition it was received in. Failure to do so will result in $50.00 cleaning charge. High chairs, exersaucers, booster seats w/trays & pack and plays are for indoor use only.
Q. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT USING A CRIB FROM THE HOTEL?
A. Because hotels are not in the business of baby and child equipment it is important to ask specific questions. Everyone has a different interpretation of a "crib". You will want to ask what type of crib they use, how often they are cleaned and replaced and most importantly you'll want to make sure it's a FULL SIZE crib. Many hotels will tell you that it is a crib, but it really is a portacrib or a pack-n-play. Ask if it is wood or metal, the metal cribs are very uncomfortable. Ask if the mattress is of full thickness (5 inches). Most hotels use a thinner mattress (3 inches) and are not comfortable. Portable cribs are not recommended for children over 6 months of age.
Q. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
A. All orders cancelled within 48 hours of arrival will be charged 50% of order. Orders cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival will not be charged.
Q. WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO WE ACCEPT?
A. We accept Visa/MasterCard, American Express or PayPal for all orders. Credit card orders are processed after delivery but are verified at the time of reservation. If other arrangements need to be made please contact us and we will try to accommodate.
Q. DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR EXTENDED STAYS OR MULTIPLES?
A. Definitely! Please contact us for more information. We will always try to make your stay as affordable and hassle free as possible whether for one night or for two months.
Q. ARE THERE ANY SERVICES OTHER THAN RENTALS THAT YOU PROVIDE?
A. We want to make your trip as hassle free as possible so we will accommodate most needs that you have. Diapers, Wipes, Bottles and Bibs are available for purchase. If there is something you need please let us know and we will do all we can to meet your requests. A 25% courtesy fee and appropriate state tax will be added to the purchases.
Q. IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER THAT I NEED TO MAKE?
A. Yes, a $45.00 minimum order is required on deliveries.
Q. WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?
A. We will deliver to private residences, hotels, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds and condos. We deliver to the entire Puget Sound Area.
Q. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO PLACE MY ORDER?
A. To ensure availability, we suggest you place our order as soon as your travel plans are confirmed. We do understand that sometimes plans can not be made until the last minute so we will do our best to accommodate your schedule and needs. This is especially true during the Holiday and Summer Seasons.
Q. WHAT ARE YOUR DELIVERY POLICIES?
A. There is a Minimum Delivery Charge of $50.00 Roundtrip (delivery and pick up) per order. Charges may vary depending upon delivery location, distance, and time of day delivery is needed. We will do all we can to accommodate your schedule as best we can. Depending on your destination city there is generally a 2 - 3 hour time window needed for all deliveries and pick-ups of baby equipment. Full size cribs must be assembled and disassembled by the delivery person and cannot be assembled or disassembled by the renter. If no one is available at the location during your designated delivery or pick-up time windows there will be an attempt to reschedule with an additional fee. Sorry, but we cannot install car seats for you; there are instructions on the side of all of our car seats on how to accomplish installation.
